A flooring company with over 35 years of experience and having three branches is currently recruiting for a Retail Sales Associate through Eximius Personnel, the city's leading recruitment agency for sales professionals.

The company is a retailer of high-end flooring, molding, and floor care products for commercial and residential properties. Business activity includes consultation, finishing and decorating solutions as well as installation services.

Commitment to excellent customer service plays a large part in the company's success. Focus is on providing superior quality product and services to consumers.

Mandate:

The sales representative's mandate involves representing the company's products and services in-store. The individual will greet and serve customers while providing them with expert advice and solutions for decoration needs.

Candidate Profile:

The ideal candidate should be young and dynamic, ready to face the challenge of helping consumers select products while providing expert advice. He or she must be dedicated to selling without pushing for decisions and have a strong desire to learn, apply product knowledge and use sales techniques. This opportunity does involve travel between the store in Laval and in Kirkland, so a car is necessary.

Position Responsibilities:

• Greet and serve customers
• Provide quality advice and suggestions
• Calculate accurate estimates and quotes
• Display leadership and good sales practices
• Various administration duties
• Aid in marketing efforts
• Provide customer service

Competency Profile:

• Strong flooring or decoration knowledge and skill base
• Two to three years experience in retail sales, preferably in home improvement and decoration
• Excellent organizational skills
• Customer service oriented
• Demonstrated motivated behaviours
• PC and/or Mac skills
• Ability to interact in a professional, efficient and friendly manner.
• Minimum education level of completed secondary 5

Additional Information:

• Store hours: Mon to Wed: 9:30 am to 6:00 pm, Thurs: 9:30 am to 8:00 pm, Fri: 9:30 am to 6:00 pm (may change to 8:00 pm), Sat: from 9:30 am to 4:00 pm
• Candidate may choose to take Tuesday or Wednesday off
• Required dress code: Uniform shirt provided, dress pants or skirt obligatory

Compensation:

Annual base salary of $35,000. Two weeks paid vacation during construction holidays. Two weeks paid holidays during Christmas. Plus two more weeks vacation for a total of six weeks paid vacation. After first year of employment, employer provides bonuses and additional benefits. Potential to earn annual base salary of $50,000 after five years of employment.
