Sales Manager, Fund Administration Services
Our client, a financial services company providing fund administration services to the alternative investment industry, is currently seeking a Sales Manager to generate and develop new hedge fund administration business.
The ideal candidate for this position will have an accounting background and strong knowledge of the financial services industry, particularly hedge funds.
Position Responsibilities:
- Work within a Sales and Marketing Team to meet and/or exceed company sales objectives;
- Execute against and report semi-annually on Mission, Objectives and Key Results (MOKR) within the context of the overall sales organization and corporate MOKRs;
- Identify and follow up on new fund launches;
- Gathers market and customer information to identify new markets;
- Arrange one-on-one meetings with referral sources, including attorneys and prime brokers to promote company services;
- Maintain and support client relationships in order to increase sales from existing clients;
- Visit prospective clients to pitch company services and demonstrate differentiation;
- Staff trade exhibitions and demonstrations;
- Provide Account Relationship Management through a salesforce automation system.
Requirements:
- Montreal based with travel to New York, Toronto and other locations;
- Thrives in a team environment but also able to work independently;
- Ability to construct thoughtful, sharp and organized presentations;
- Detail-orientated with strong time management skills;
- Strong leadership skills and professional demeanor;
- Ability to keep up to date on past, current and future trends in the hedge fund and hedge fund services industries;
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to operate as a team player;
- Pro-active, self-starter with the ability to use initiative in maximizing sales;
- Willingness to travel (around 25% of average working week);
- Strong listening skills.
Qualifications:
- University degree or equivalent in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance or Economics and a recognized accounting qualification such as CA, ACA, ACCA is a plus;
- Min. 5 years experience in the financial industry and/or a sales capacity;
- Excellent English language skills;
- Strong understanding of hedge fund business processes, working knowledge a plus;
- Basic knowledge of MS Office (i.e. Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook).
Knowledge of Salesforce Automation a plus.
Compensation:
Base salary approximately $67,000 plus incentives. Total compensation potential $100k+
